01 · THE ORGANIZING CENTER
Tabi‘at
Tabī‘atA classical way of describing the body’s inherent coordination and tendency to preserve balance.
What the term means.
In Unani thought, tabi‘at names an organizing principle within the living body. It belongs at the center of this map because elements, humours, organs, capacities, pneuma, and functions are considered in relationship—not as disconnected parts.
How it connects
to the whole.
- 01Elements provide the classical material frame.
- 02Faculties and functions describe capacities and actions.
- 03Daily conditions can support or strain the overall pattern.
Useful context.
Clear limits.
CoreVital translates this into a modest practice: support ordinary foundations, observe patterns, and respect the body’s limits. We do not equate tabi‘at with immunity, homeostasis, or any single modern biological mechanism.
This page explains a historical Unani concept. It is not a diagnostic tool, treatment recommendation, biological measurement, or substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
